Early-stage capital isn’t powered by ideas. Capital is powered by attitude. First, and most important, is the attitude of the investor. For capital to move, an investor’s attitude must resonate with that of the entrepreneur across from them. This is psychology 101. 

Long before investors read a pitch deck or investment proposal, they’ve already decided why they invest. The why informs their attitude toward any notion of what they invest into.
